In Deutschlands Stadien wurde es in den 1980er Jahren von einigen Hooligans eingeführt, als erster Verein entdeckte der FC St. Pauli das Lied für sich. Mittlerweile wird "You'll never walk alone" in zahlreichen Bundesliga-Stadien gespielt, so seit Mitte der 1990er Jahre auch auf dem Betzenberg. Das Original wurde im Jahr 1945 für ein Broadway-Musical komponiert.)
